World Hunger In Africa

Approximately one in three people living in Sub-Saharan Africa are undernourished and more than ninety percent are suffering. Poor nutrition causes nearly forty five percent of deaths in children under the age of five and three point one million children die each year. This is becoming a significant issue for the whole planet. However, it is globally within our power to prevent something bad from happening in Africa. We are one world and to say it's just happening in Africa would be false it's happening everywhere at every second. Unfortunately, we live in a world where so many people have no clue about world hunger. However, the few that do have done an amazing job in alleviating hunger. Assessments on water availability, including water stress and water drainage, show that parts of southern Africa are highly vulnerable to climate variability and change (Impacts of Climate Change). In central Africa high sea levels could change and have a negative impact on fisheries and tourism. Flooding could potentially ruin all the crops and their would now be no money coming in because farmers wouldn’t be able to export crops. The climate change is also pushing residents to the edges of livable land. If they face climate change it will threaten the food supplies of Sub-Saharan Africa and the farm fields and water resources of South Asia and South East Asia within the next three decades. One reported that, “The scientists tell us that if the world warms by 2°C – warming which may be reached in 20 to 30 years – that will cause widespread food shortages, unprecedented heat-waves, and more intense cyclones" (Impacts of Climate Change). Many organizations are working on how to help with adjusting to the future climate
