When company using quantitative research method to collect different data, the researcher need to know the entire pro and con before using quantitative research. The benefit of using quantitative research is company can collect large amount of numerical information and sometimes data based on users’ opinion. McDonalds is fast growing company and there have more than 30,000 restaurants around the world (James, 2009). The first McDonalds restaurant opened in United States in 1955 and the first McDonalds restaurant in Australia is 1971. However, Health and fitness become main issues due to the rising number of obesity and more people prefer to eat more health. McDonald’s Australia decided to have made market research due to the eating habit revaluation (Financial Review, 2015). The Business environment is changing every day because different generation had change the personal lifestyle. Nowadays, more and more technology created to convince people daily life as a result customers prefer to eat convinces food like fast food. Australia McDonald want to listen to different aging customer to find out what consumer actually want and how the eating taste had changed from time to time (Financial Review, 2015). In 2005, Australia McDonald called the research project to ‘Project Discovery’, which involved both quantitative and qualitative research methods to collect data. Qualitative research took two hours with 35 consumers for one to one interviews and quantitative research was using telephone interview by calling 2602 customers. After talking to 2602 consumer by telephone, McDonald received different area of perception and it found out that healthy area should improve
