As a little girl she was sent away, she developed resentments, anger and fear. She went from being able to do anything she wanted, to becoming a servant to her sister. Sister grew to have an intense parental monitoring over young sister, with being overly restrictive and controlling child blamed herself for being sent away (Berger, 2012). Going through extensive amounts of counseling child became to play the victim roll, rather than establishing the skills to become a survivor. Cognitive development is a production of thinking procedures, containing retention, problem solving skills, as well as decisions making skills (children’s health, 2016). This development occurs from childhood to adolescence, as well as through adulthood. Due to environmental factors, and P.T.S.D, child had difficultly retaining information in the school setting as well as home. Grandmother’s native tongue was German while grandfathers was Spanish. The little girl was brought up to learn English for that is the primary language in which society speaks. Lack of understanding was prominent in the household for some many unknown languages were spoken. The culture she was surrounded by was from Hispanic descent at school and amongst friends. While German culture took way of the home life, they believed in disciplining child with belt and shoes, as well as wooden spoons. This making it rather difficult with making friends, for they were no disciplined in the same way. The biggest reason in which children wanted to play with young individual was due to swimming pool in grandparent’s backyard. This greatly affected adolescence for she was always confused as to why everyone else was different when it came to being disciplined. This may have very well made the behavior so much worse, due to feeling different from her
