First of all, my ethnicity is hispanic, I come from two hispanic parent. I have always been raised in a hispanic household while following some hispanic traditions. When I was younger my school and I participated in posadas. Posadas which is to story of when Mary and Joseph went knocking on doors asking for a place to sleep for the night while they were traveling. Another tradition that my family also participates in is cinco de mayo. Cinco de mayo is the day that proud Mexicans celebrate the victory over the French in the battle of Pueblo. Being catholic means that I believe in God and the catholic teachings. I am Catholic and so are many other people in this world and that is one way that I relate to them. Being catholic or believing in God also relates to me being hispanic because the traditions that I take part in also have to do with God. One of the most important parts in a quinceanera is the blessing and coming before God. There are a lot of catholic traditions that my family participate in also. An example of a catholic tradition that my family practices in is going to church especially on holy days of obligation. Another catholic tradition is the seven sacraments.
