(Maximum 4 lines). What is the theoretical definition of the dependent variable(s)? The theoretical research question of the study is if MDMA may be used in treating anxiety related disorders in improving signs of PTSD. The theoretical research question is answered through the observations in the experiment.
(Maximum 6 lines). What is the operational definition of the dependent variable(s)? The operational definition of the dependent variable is the specific way the study is measured. With helping people with PTSD with a controlled amount of MDMA will lessen their anxiety related symptoms. These operational definitions can include their behavior …show more content…
What is the theoretical definition of the independent variable(s)? Within theoretical definitions, the study tests the correlation between MDMA and anxiety disorders. The treatment, and drugs given is the independent variable. The values as MDMA or the placebo are apart of the independent variable because the input in the study is used to test the dependent variable.
(Maximum 6 lines). What is the operational definition of the independent variable? Within operational definitions, the independent variable would be the value MDMA and the placebo have on the patients to treat anxiety disorders. The operational definitions describe how the variable will be measured and performed such as which patients receive the placebo, and which the MDMA, and how much they are given. The independent variable is measured by the MDMA used to as treatment, the improvement in signs of PTSD.
