The way these different types of protists can be broken apart in to the different type groups is based on how they move. The first protists type is cilia. Cilia uses small microscopic hairs which are called cilia that allow the protist to move. These form of protist uses the hairs to flap against one another to allow the organism to be able to move through water or any other types of liquids easier. The next type of protist is flagella. Flagella has a long tail that is called a flagella. The flagella tail helps to propel the organism by moving the tail side to side to allow for the organism to gain momentum. The next type of protist is pseudopodia. Pseudopodia is different from other types of protists because it can extend its cell body. By the pseudopodia protist being able to extend its cell body allows for the organism to scoot its body around.
Algae is also a type of protist. Algae protist is the type that is able to perform photosynthetic. This form of protist is able to product their own food using oxygen and energy from the sun. Mitosis is a form of asexually reproduction because it involves a single cell organisms. With the use of mitosis it produces genetically identical organism of the parent cell. However, with meiosis it is a form of sexually reproduction because it takes two completely different parent cells in order to produce offspring. Which, is completely different from mitosis which only takes one single cell organism. Also, by using meiosis the offspring will not be genetically identical to that on the parent cells.
