In a Hispanic/Latino family, the family is really united and family comes first no matter what. In an America family is those who you love, care for you, and the people you are with. It may sound rude but it’s just the way it is. For example when it comes to birthdays Hispanics/Latinos are expected to be with their family members all day celebrating. In American families you can go with your friends and party if you want to and their family won’t say anything. Like me I’m a seventeen year old teenager and my parents are very strict when it comes to going out hanging out with my friends and going to parties. I have friends who are white and African American whose parents don’t care if they go out since they’re “old” and they can take care of their selves. On the other hand my parents and most of my Mexican/Latino friends are expected to text them every two hours or so to let them know what we are doing and where we are at. The reason why we are expected to text them constantly is because we are not old enough and not responsible since we are still kids and we live with our parents.
Mexican/Latino and American culture differentiates in their food. The norm for a Hispanic/Latino family is that you have to learn how to cook at a young age and you have to eat homemade food. In the America the norm is to go to fast foods since America is the melting pot of all cultures. What I mean by saying
