Germany felt as if they were treated unfair and harsh causing them to become angry and retaliate with an attack on Poland. The fight was between the Axis Powers and the Allies. This war had the biggest death count of all time with over 60 million casualties. The United States entered World War 2 because of the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on December 7th 1941 (3). Women, African-Americans, and Mexican-Americans all underwent changes in their lives in the 1900’s. Women were once seen as lesser then men that changed very much. When the wars hit, women would take the jobs of men to keep America running. Women also were given the right to vote and be equal in society due to the 19th amendment. During the depression women were not marrying or having kids, but after the war that all changed and families started more then ever. As for African-Americans, they had many problems I society. Early on they could not vote either and were segregated from the whites. Africans were treated poorly in society which involved lots of violence and tension between the races. Groups such as the KKK were against African Americans, they committed hate crimes and even killed because of of person race. The KKK got so strong that it was even able to take political control in seven states (2). Blacks had to face many problems just because of their race even in proposals such as The New Deals. These deals were mad to better society, but most deals discriminated against blacks, giving whites the upper hand at new jobs and money (5). By the end of this time period blacks were eventually seen as equal and were given the right to vote and even opportunity in society. Mexican-Americans on the other hand were also facing similar problems. Mexicans were immigrating into American to bring money to
