One mistake was when he trusted Friar John to send the letter to Romeo, and not even telling him that the letter was important. He trusted Juliet, a stupid young teen girl with a potion to make her look dead…just so she didn’t have to marry Parris. Friar Lawrence tells her to drink it by saying, “If…thou hast the strength of will to slay thyself…take thou this vial…no warmth, no breath shall testify the livest” . He is trying to help Juliet but Friar Lawrence wasn’t doing it for Juliet, Friar Lawrence was doing it for himself, he could have killed her and he took the chance hoping to bring 2 families together. Friar Laurence’s idea for Juliet was very risky, and he she ends up buried alive, which never should have happened.should have known better than to try it. Because of him, everyone thinks that Juliet is dead, If he didn’t give Juliet the poison, maybe nobody would have died. Although I believe Friar Lawrence is at fault, you could also blame Juliet’s parents. If her parents were not so harsh on her then maybe she would have never gotten to the point of killing herself. Even though Friar Lawrence leaves and Juliet ends up killing herself,the position might have not been necessary to her. Yes, it is entirely his fault that she is even in that situation in the first place. If the Friar not left the tomb, then Juliet might not have had the opportunity to kill
