No one likes to spend money but that is just what fracking a well makes a man do. On average, fracking only one well costs three to five million dollars (The Pennsylvania Guide to Hydraulic Fracturing, or "Fracking). To put that amount into perspective, there are 500,000 wells available for fracking and all of them can be fracked eighteen times. One to eight million gallons of water and forty thousand gallons of chemicals is needed for each fracking procedure. Once the math is done, the grand total of water and chemicals used is 72 trillion gallons and 360 million gallons, respectively (Dong). Fracking should not be resorted to even though it almost guarantees natural gas each time. Jeremy Grantham says, “We all need to adjust our behavior to this new environment. It would help if we did it quickly.” He means that the world is changing because of natural resources and the environment is changing because of natural resources and we must adjust as best as we can. If possible, there should be another method of obtaining natural resources because fracking is dangerous, expensive and definitely labor
