How Do Sports Shape Our Lives

Decent Essays
Some people see sports just as something you watch on television. To an athlete though, sports is what shapes them. Sports change lives. Not only do they build community, but they teach valuable lessons that can be used throughout your life.
The friends you make is the greatest thing about sports. These friends are ones that last a lifetime. Bonds you make with your teammates are different from any other bond. These people understand the struggles associated with being an athlete. A teammate shares your passion and goals. Without sports I would have never met my best friend, and I would not be the person I am today. Not only are sports fun to play but they keep you in great physical shape. During basketball season I lose around ten pounds
