Negative political ads were used in the 2012 presidential campaigns resulting to negative impact to the voters. Analysis shows that three quarters of campaign ads in 2012 presidential campaigns results to anger among the voters. In the 2016 presidential campaigns, 53% of the ads aired in a period of one month were negative (Teachout, Zephyr & Thomas 35).
