Reflection Of A Quiz On The Aquation Of The Circle

For this last day of the week, I’d prepared a quiz about the equation of the circle. I prayed that they might answer it correctly. I provided easy items only.
As I entered the class and looked at them, their faces seemed to be burdened as if their most hated subject finally began. It hurt. However, I didn’t had any choice at all but to continue and start the task.
For them to improve their moods, I said that we were not about to discuss any topic for today. Instead, a short quiz would be answered by them. Afterwards, we were to check and record their scores. Then, they could have their break. They started to become excited.
It ended just in time. As we checked and recorded their scores, most of them proudly said that they’d got high scores.

I included real life situation examples where my lesson could be applied, and as I observed them, I could say that they really appreciated the lesson and they really understood it very well. As I checked their seatworks, my heart was filled with gratefulness and my face with a large smile because almost all of them got perfect scores. I guessed I need to prepare and think a lot of trending issues that should be related to my next lessons. That would be hard. But still, I would try. I was so happy that they all mastered our lesson. I hope this would happen …show more content…
Well, I shouldn’t leave them. I should stay until it was already time. They tend to ask me to eat. That was my first time to be asked by students to eat. I just smiled and said thank you. I felt grateful.
After the three- week vacation, now it’s time to go to school again! It’s time for me to wake up at 4 in the morning … again, and prepare for every day’s lesson.
I asked my critic teacher regarding on today’s activity, and I felt so much grateful as she said that we were only to review the students about the lessons last year. In addition, she also said that I am not required to attend that day’s classes; she could handle the facilitation of the classes’ reviews. What I did was to spend all of my time in preparing for tomorrow’s lesson. It was quite hard for me not only because grade 10 mathematics’ topics were much harder than the lower grades’, but also because I was thinking on how would the students respond tomorrow after they had been to a long vacation. At 12 in the afternoon, I needed to go to my critic teacher and ask for some auxiliary services, since we are required to have a total of ten hours doing auxiliary works. However, she asked me to do nothing but to prepare my lesson plan and visuals for tomorrow. What a kind critic teacher I have! She still signed my card confirming that I allotted time doing extra services, though I really

Each and every minute recorded on my log sheets was hard-earned. Since I work at an elementary school, I do sometimes have some downtime during lunch recess. This is because my supervisor, Mrs. Gray, often goes out for lunch and the students are, obviously, playing outside. As a result, I may choose to work on some school work from either cooperative education or from another course I’m…

Many steps must be considered when creating and preparing an activity plan. Specifically, there is the preplanning stage, activity beginning stage, activity middle stage, and activity closing stage. It is significant to include all of the points within your activity plan to effectively teach a lesson. The teacher must prepare the students for the activity and allow the students to understand what the central ideas of the lesson are. I had the opportunity to use an activity plan with students in the classroom, which allowed me to gain experience with second graders.…

I appreciated the observer noticed: Anne noticed that I have become more confident in my teaching which was something I did not ask her to watch for during her observation. This meant a lot to me that she noticed my growth and the student’s growth. She said the reason why my explanations were so clear was because of my confidence. I have been struggling this semester with having confidence when I teach in tutoring and during practicum. It definitely comes and goes.…

Overall, I enjoyed the Circle Training - on both a practical level in regards to facilitating trainings and on a more personal level. I both appreciate and have some challenging thoughts regarding the basics of circle practices: the talking piece and the circle. I can wholeheartedly appreciate both and believe that they can help to facilitate more substantial conversations, peace making, etc. However, I also wonder how much of the belief that talking pieces and circles are essential is more of a drinking the Kool-Aid effect. Generally, I believe both are great and should be used, but I am not sure about them being completely 100% necessary at all times.…

The semester is all but over; I can’t believe it. It truly feels like boot-camp was yesterday. While it only feels like a short period of time, so much has happened over the past three months and I’m very grateful for all that it entailed. A significant amount of progress has been made on the Camarerri case and I can wholeheartedly say that I’ve improved as a soon-to-be attorney as well. Aside from missing one class in observance of Rosh Hashana, I did not miss any classes.…

The first thing that I learned was self-motivation and its overall importance in the learning process. The Penobscot Job Corp center is not the same as a traditional school. There are similarities, but overall, the students at the center have to be self-motivated learners. In the class that I observed, there are no lectures.…

When I delivered the teaching session, the experience was an overall success with students showing a clear interest and engaging in the lesson (Table 1, question 10, mean 4.3). The teaching began with a clear introduction to the key learning points for the whole session (Table 1, question 5, mean 4.3), which allowed the students to understand what the session was going to entail. This was beneficial to those who needed to see the big picture to see how topics fit together[1]. I further explained that the session will be split into three sections and explained that certain learning outcomes will be covered in each section. Student feedback stated that there was “enthusiastic teaching in appropriate sized teaching bites.”…

Our lesson plan were clear for us we had to choose about seven exercises to teach it in 20 minutes, 10 per each. It was something I did not plan for. For instance in the listening micro lesson, some of them asked questions or asked me to rewind the audio file while they were supposed to be listening to it and do not disturb their colleagues. I have learned that I have to put some rules from the beginning of the session. For instance, I should tell students to write down their questions and wait till the end of the audio file. Besides, these like-real situations helped me to be more comfortable standing up in front of…
