The Civil Rights Movement: The Black Lives Matter Movement

July 13, 2013 marks the beginning of a movement so misunderstood by many people. The movement sprung up after the unjust murder of Trayvon Martin. Although the #BlackLivesMatter did not begin until 2013; the movement actually started long before. The black lives matter movement is not a movement against the United States police force or a movement to glorify the black race above all other races; but rather it is fight against police brutality, racial profiling, and discrimination not just against black people but against other races as well.
