In the tragic play “Macbeth” written by William Shakespeare and performed worldwide, we see the rise and fall of the main character Macbeth. He starts out as just your average medieval soldier who just so happen to impress the King on the battlefield. After hearing of his future (becoming Cawdor and King) from the witches his mind quickly jumps to murder. At the start of it all, he is scared of his thoughts and feelings but only because it brings out that hidden desire for power that causes his ultimate fall. Although there are many things that could influence Macbeth, deep down inside him is a hidden lust for power that corrupts his mind, drives him to make bad decisions, and do awful things. Foremost, when the witches give their prophecy
