The play, Macbeth written by William Shakespeare revolves around the main character way to the throne. Macbeth desires to become the king after Duncan. However, when King Duncan announces the king after him will be his son, Macbeth is not pleased. Therefore, blinded by desire, Macbeth thinks of killing the king. Macbeth is a great warrior who wins wars for the king and protects the people. The fact coming to Macbeth mind shocks him since he can not imagine killing a man without a valid reason. In order to make himself good Macbeth states his thoughts are only “fantastical”. Macbeth does not want to bring his inner savagery out and kill the king for the throne.
