Overheating |
The gun is air cooled to retard overheating. It's provided with a heavy barrel. Slots in the barrel support permit the circulation of air around the breech end of the barrel. |

Double Feed |
If the round positioned against the cartridge stop fails to be extracted from the belt, the belt feed pawl arm rides on top of the positioned round, holding the belt feed pawl arm and compressed the belt feed pawl spring. This prevents the belt feed pawl engaging the next round causing a double feed in the feed way as the bolt moves forward. |
