Camp Precepts

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God

16. And he came to Nazereth where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath Day, and stood up for to read.

17. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath annointed me to teach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord

20. And he closed the book and gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the ryes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him

21. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Think not that i am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

6. And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was as leperous as snow

7. And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

Then answered he me, and said, Thou hast given a right judgement, but why judgest thou not thyself also?

I have planted, Apollo watered, but God gave the increase.

And Moses said unto him, Enviest thouu for my sake? Would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the the Lord will put his Spirit upon them!

Except the Lord of Host had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

For the Most High hateth sinners, and will repay vengance to the ungodly, and keepeth them against the mighty day of their punishment.

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth

I hate, I despise you feast days and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

He that turneth his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be an abomination.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind

16. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall i do that i may have eternal life?

17. And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that i command thee: be not diamayed at their faces, lest i confound thee before them.

Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, i have put my words in thy mouth.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is bome upon you: and ye shall be his witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and into the uttermost part of the Earth.

For I am not ashamed of tbe gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto zalvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, but also to the Greek

1. My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart kerp my commandments

2. For legnth of days, long life, and peace shall they add to thee

27. And it came to pass, as he soake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted uo her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps that thou hast sucked

28. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

47. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring tp speak with thee

48. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? And who are my brethren?

49. And he stretched forth his hand toward his deciples, and said, Behold my mother and breathren!

50. For whoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

21. And another of his deciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

22. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.

59. And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me to go and bury my father.

60. Jusus said unto him, Let the dead, bury their dead: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God.

61. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go and bid them farewell, which are at home at my house

62. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.

22. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake, but he that endureth until the end shall be saved.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness

The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the deas

The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor: but the way of the wicked seduceth them

He that hath small understanding, and feareth God, is better than one hath much wisdom, and transgresseth the law of the Most High.

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me

If any man come unto me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and breathren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and establish a city by iniquity

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbors service without wages, and giveth him not for his work

Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; Knowing that ye have a Master in heaven

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)

5. Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exhaulteth itself against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.

And that servant, that knows his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God.

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no sacrifice for sins.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness

He hath commanded no man to do wickedly, neither hath he given sny man license to sin.
