Striving to construct many identities, collaborative, deliberate or unconscious. Collaborative communicators construct their identities in response to the behaviors of others. |

Occurs when a persons expectations of an event, and his/her subsequent behavior based on those expectations, make the event more likely to come true . |

Occurs when your own expectations influence your behavior. Ex. In sports you probably psyched yourself into playing better or worse. |
