What is a safeguarding referral? And what are the time limits associated with it?

A safe guarding referral is made when you suspect that an individual is being abused or at risk. All safeguarding referrals must be reported to the Officer of the day (ODD).



Safeguarding concerns reported to Officer of the day with in 4 hours for an immediate risk and 24 hours for non immediate.

What is a Serious Outstanding risk? What are the two categories?

A problem which cab not be resolved through HFSV but no immediate safeguarding referral is required.
