When Will CSOSS be Used?
-Initial Light-off of any system or equipment

-Reconfiguration as a result of casualties or to support ship’s training evolutions

CSC
Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC)
Provides the technical to tactical interpretation for TAO.
Must be tactically proficient.
Must be a qualified CSOOW.
Designated in writing by the Commanding Officer.
CSOOW
-Center of communication hub (Net 25).
-Controls & coordinates technical operations within combat systems.
-Manages casualty operations as well a configuration.
-Works with CSC/CICWO to provide the maximum capability to combat.
-Responsible to the Systems Test Officer (STO).
-Designated in writing by the Commanding Officer.
-Monitors NET 15 (Command Net) for situational awareness.

-CSOOW is the “Authorizing Officer”
-CO’s authorization is needed for Magazine Sprinkler / Deluge tag-outs
-Conducts a weekly audit every Weds
-Administers the Man-Aloft program
--Uses plastic placards vice red tags with the exception of moving antennas
--Saves time by reducing recurring administrative paperwork.
--Procedures similar to tag-out program
