- Explore language ( Words, phrases, language techniques, and sentence structures) - look for language which is used beyond its literal meaning e.g. language techniques and show effect - Look for any occasion where the writer’s choice of words seems to be deliberate and planned e.g. where they could’ve used another word however they used a different one for effect - Do not write about language that I cannot fully understand the effect - Words to show effect , emphasises, illustrates, highlights, suggests, - Zoom in to language ( the word “......” ) |

- Compare the different attitudes ( what are the attitudes presented in both sources ) - Compare the methods used to show these attitudes( how does the writer present these attitudes , tone or form or approach and the method used e.g newspaper article , essay) -Must use comparative language throughout, similarly, contrastingly , likewise - Show effect of quotations to back the point of attitude |
