Describe the fire protection system
Detects fire in engines, APU, overheat in wheel wells, baggage comp has optional smoke alarm. 5 fixed halon fire extinguishers. Engine 1 and 3=single bottle, engine 2 uses 2 bottles. 5th bottle for baggage or APU. 1 fire ext in cockpit, 2 in cabin
Describe the pneumatics system
High and low press bleed air from each engine compressor maintains acft temp and pressure. 1 eng can totally air condition and pressurize aircraft. APU bleed air on ground. Bleed air also used for anti ice of wing leading edge, slats, eng air intakes and S duct. bleed system monitored by sensors causing illumination of lights on master warning panel.
Describe Hydraulic system
2 seperate hyd sys which cannot be interconnected plus an aux system. Main hyd power via 3 pumps driven off engine accessory gear box. Each pump delivers output of 3000 psi. An electric stby pump delivers stby pres to the #2 sys and can be used to test either system on the ground. Hyd pressure is for the: gear, slats, flaps, brakes, air brakes, nose wheel steering, aileron, elevator, rudder, arthurs, and thrust reverser
Describe oxygen system
One high pressure steel cylinder for crew and passengers located aft of entry door under left side of floor. gage by co-pilot reads 0-2200 psi
Describe electrical system
28.5 vdc system which receives power from 3 starter generators connected thru a split bus bar system. An additional starter generator is available from the APU for ground ops. Two 26 vdc batteries. A ground recepticle for 115 volts AC 400 hz power
Describe fuel system
Three seperate sub systems G1 G2 G3. Each system normally supplies fuel to its respective engine. Has cross feed and fuel transfer. May be pressure or gravity fueled. Usable fuel 19,065 lbs. 119 lbs. unusable. Fuel quantity via DC capacitance system. All tanks auto pressurize by low pressure bleed air from number 1 or 2 engines.

51%. If it goes beyond this point, go to fuel cutoff because this is a run away engine.
How to program a hold at your present position
direct/pattern/hold/last waypoint flown over (just hit L1)/activate. will give a 4.2 DME leg at the spot you are at, with standard right turns.
Cracked window pressure differential
7.5 psi
How do you reduce cabin differential pressure?
fl mode/raise alt to 50,000'/@ 5 psi, lower alt until the cabin vsi stabilizes.

Hydraulic pump light on means
Pressure is less that 1500 psi
Remember the type of sound that the aural alert for the fire alarm makes because...
It's possible that the fire light will not work and you will have no visual clues as to what's going on.
Consideration if just after takeoff and you get hydraulic system 1 (pump 1 & pump 3 annunciator)lights on
If the gear is still down, leave it there, and if you just raised it,bring it right back down again before you lose all hydraulic pressure. Also leave the slats out so that you may continue to have them for landing.
