Attitudes of WW1 |
Men were happy when they first signed up because they thought it would be like a vacation, but once it started they were miserable and got signs of shell shock and trench foot. Women didn't like that the men were gone years at a time and that there was a good chance they woudnt be coming home. |

Fought by Britain, Canada and France against Germany, it was a good learning experience for Canada as they had outdated battle tatics that the Germans could easily fend off and it would result in lots of blood and death. |

The treaty that officially ended WW1, it had 4 terms for Germany, Germany would have to give France Alsace-Lorraine back. Had to reduce the size of there army, had to play a huge amount of money taht would pit the country in depth and would have to accept full blame for the war. |

A WW1 attack strategy, it was common to bombard the enemy defense using heavy artillery. |

Treatment of minorities |
French Candians: Made them isolated from Canada, since they woudnt fight for Canada in war. Aboriginal Canadians: Thought they were savages and we're mistreated. Black Canadians: We're aloud to go to war, but only for construction purposes instead of combat. As war went on and more deaths came, more black people were recruited to fight. German and Ukrainen Candians: Awful, put into internment camps for the duration of war. Asian Candians: Not great, wernt allowed to vote or go to war. |
