What do normal bowel sounds supposed to sound like?
Normal bowel sounds are high pitched with gurgling, rumbling, growling.Abnormal includes hypoactive and absent. Hypoactive indicates that intestinal activity has slowed down. Absentbowel sounds can occur after surgery.Hyperactive bowl sounds loud high pitched sounds rushing, tickling sounds that signal increased motility.

Swelling/jointsdeformity, burst = chalky.
Osteoarthritis
Lateral curvature of thoracic and lumbar spine, Functional scoliosis is flexible - apparent with standing anddisappears with forward bending. Structural scoliosis is fixed - sows both on standing and bending forward. Note: ribhump, unequal shoulder elevation, unequal scapulae, obvious curvature and unequal hip level.
Scoliosis
Incomplete closure of posterior part of vertebrae, results in neural tube defect. Can vary from skin defectalong the spine to protrusion of the sac containing meninges, spinal fluid, or malformed spinal cord. Most serious type ismyelomeningocele (results in paralyzation)
