Have you ever had a dream that you knew would not become a reality? Think again, because it might come true. Walt Disney was a person who never gave up on his dreams to make Disneyland a reality, and he encouraged kids and adults not to give up on theirs. Walter “Walt” Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Elias and Flora Call Disney. He was one of five children. Walt had four brothers, and one sister. Walt discovered his talent for drawing at a very young age. When he was seven, he began to sell his sketches to their neighbors and friends. Walt attended McKinley High School in Chicago. While he was there, he focused his time between drawing, and the school newspaper. At night, at would attend the Academy of Fine Arts to improve his drawing skills.
