Flower Garland Sutra

What does the Sutra describe

It describes a cosmos of infinite realms upon realms, mutually containing one another characterised by overflowing of holographic visionary images. An expression of the universe as seen by a Buddha (the Dharmadhatu).


It describes all phenomena as infinitely penetrating.


It sets out the progressive stages of the Bodhisattva path.


The central figure is Buddha Vairocana whose very body is seen as a reflection of the whole universe.
