What is the lymphatic system? |

What is inflammation? |
Inflammation is a local defensive response to any type of cellular/tissue damage, examples include microbial infection, heat, radiation, sharp objects, acids. |

What are the functions of inflammation? |
- destroy the microbe and remove its by-products (like toxins) - if destruction is not possible, to limit the effects on the body by walling off the microbe and it's by-products. - repair or replace tissue damaged by microbe or its by-products. |
