Each Vlocity must undergo a primary preparation inspection once each day. |

Leading Cab - ensure park brake applied - brake fully charged & PBC in RELEASE - open EMERGENCY cock - observe BP falls, cylinder rises - apply and isolate the brake (move PBC to full application & isolate-key out) Exterior Inspection (A side) Check sanders, air/fluid leaks & cylinder gauges Test Continuity in rear cab - cut in brake (key in) move PBC to RELEASE - observe BP does not rise & cylinders do not reduce (bc there is continuity) - apply and isolate the brake (key out) Exterior inspection (Side B) In Front Cab - cut in the brake (key in) move PBC to RELEASE - observe BP does not rise & cylinders do not reduce - close brake pipe EMERGENCY - observe BP rises & cylinders reduce |

How is a Vlocity traction motor interlock test completed? |
- Open the external door and ensure the park brake is on - Ensure that the main reservoir pressure is a minimum of 750 KPA - Place to reverser in direction - Move the power/brake controller to notch 2, apply HILLSTART and ensure engine revs do not increase - Move the power/brake controller to OFF position - Close doors |
